The role of the Blitz groups is not to maintain folks backgreens, but through community action, get them fixed up into a condition whereby the residents can maintain them themselves. We look to use the ideas of the community backgreen model, edible landscaping, raised beds, plays areas, etc.
We'd like to thank the 'Permablitz' group based in Australia who thought up the idea of a group of Blitzers roving around Melbourne creating beautiful edible landscapes. -
